A Children's Poem - Hidden Tracks

About A Children's Poem

Previous Entry A Children's Poem Oct. 31st, 2004 @ 01:26 pm Next Entry
Gangly Men get everywhere...
Curtain rails, cat's entrails,
Even in balls of rotten old hair.
Push in tight,
No need for the light,
Just sit and stare,
With a pale second sight.
Wrapped up small,
No shadow at all...
Gangly Men unfurl in the walls.

This isn't so much a poem for a child,
as one for your child.
The one you never really leave behind
locked away,
in the dark,
afraid.
